Our first-ever Japanese installation:
a serene oasis in an urban jungle

As Japan’s most densely populated prefecture, Tokyo is no stranger to creative design solutions for compact living spaces. In partnership with Niccon Pools, Akvo Spiralift recently unveiled its first movable pool floor for a Japanese client.  

The concept of a movable pool floor isn't new to Japan – a few prominent players have dominated the market for the last 40+ years. However, it was Akvo that was chosen to take on this design-forward project, offering this urban homeowner the flexibility to use their space as a pool, patio, or even as a Japanese tea garden when the movable floor is in its tabletop configuration! At the edge of the pool, a lion-shaped fountain presides over its aquatic kingdom, doubling as a tasteful statuette when the floor is deployed.

The pool's engineered wood decking seamlessly blends into its surroundings, creating a spa-like ambiance that's ideal for an intimate gathering or leisurely dip. It's the cherry on top of an oasis-like nook that insulates the homeowner from the bustle of city life. We are set to deliver our second Japanese pool in late 2021, so stay tuned!
