In a recent article in Forbes, hotel general manager Ayo Akinsete recounts how this is possible with Akvo Spiralift’s fully automated movable pool floor. When he first saw on YouTube an entire pool floor lifting and lowering itself with ease, he knew that it was more than just a clever trick, but a way for his hotel to reconfigure compact space exactly as needed.
According to Ayo Akinsete, the hotel pool is now ”a flexible event space that can add or reduce floor space without relying on traditional pool-coverage techniques such as tenting, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars per event while requiring a large amount of equipment, manpower, and planning.”
